Privacy

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The typefaces are served from this site, and the specification board you build is written to your own browser and nowhere else. The one transmission is yours to trigger: when you press Send on the enquiry form, your brief goes via Formspree to the studio inbox (§ 03).

This note describes what the published site actually does, as built: a set of static pages, first-party stylesheets and scripts, and images served from the same place. The controller is Diona, No. 7, 3rd Floor, Gee Bee Building, Near Dubai Museum, P.O. Box 45095, Dubai, United Arab Emirates — telephone +971 55 399 4735, mailbox [email protected]. Enquiries sent through the form are delivered to [email protected].

§ 01

What this site does not do

Five things are absent from every page. You can check any of them with the network panel of a browser: open a page and watch what is requested.

  1. No analytics

There is no analytics script, no measurement tag and no visit counting of any kind. We do not know how many people open a page, which page they came from, or how long they stayed.

  2. No advertising

No ad networks, no ad pixels, no audience segments, no social-media embeds and no share widgets that phone home. The Instagram link in the footer is a plain link to the studio's own profile, not an embed. Nothing on this site is paid for by a third party.

  3. No tracking scripts

The scripts on this site are written for it, with no dependencies: /assets/js/site.js (reveals, navigation, the board and the enquiry form), /assets/js/search.js on the home page, /assets/js/sections.js on some sheets, and /assets/js/protect.js (the interaction locks). None of them makes a network call except the enquiry submit described in § 03, and the board script also copies the studio telephone into the contact links and structured data.

  4. No cookies

This site sets no cookies, and reads none — so there is no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The board does use browser local storage, which is a different mechanism and is described in § 02 below.

  5. No accounts or databases

There is no account, no login, no newsletter list and no database behind these pages. The only personal data we receive is what you send us yourself through the enquiry form (§ 03) or by email or telephone.

One honest caveat about the plumbing: these are static files served by a web host. We run no application server behind the site and read no logs of our own, but any host may keep ordinary access logs — the address a request came from, the file asked for, the time — as part of serving it. That is outside our control and outside anything we use.

§ 02

The specification board

Stored on your device

Collections, categories and the finish hall carry an Add to board button. Pressing one writes a short entry to your browser's local storage, under a single key:

Local storage key

diona.board.v1

Each entry holds what the page already shows you: an item type (collection, category or finish), its identifier, its title — a series name or a finish code with its family — a reference to the swatch or plate image, and a link back to the page it came from. No name, no contact detail, no location and no identifier for you as a person is written, because none is asked for.

The board never leaves your device. It is not uploaded, not synchronised, not attached to a request and not readable by us. It exists so a shortlist survives a page reload, and so the titles can be listed inside a brief you compose yourself at Enquire.

If your browser blocks site storage — in a private window, for example — the script fails quietly: buttons still respond, but nothing is written and no board is retained.

Clearing it

  1. One chip

Press the × on a chip in the board tray at the foot of the page. Each remove button is labelled with the item it removes.

  2. The whole board

Press Clear in the board tray. That empties the stored key immediately.

  3. Everything at once

Clear site data for this site in your browser's privacy settings, or browse in private mode and nothing is retained at all.

The board tray is reachable by keyboard: a skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to it.

§ 03

The enquiry form

When you press Send, the brief goes via Formspree to the studio inbox. Nothing is sent before you press it.

The form at Enquire asks for a name, an optional studio or company, a mail address, an optional telephone line, an intent, a sector, a project stage, a series or category reference, and free text for scope and message. Required fields are marked, and a missing one is answered with a short inline message beside the field rather than a page reload.

When you press Send enquiry, the browser sends what you typed — with the titles of anything on your specification board — by fetch to our form processor, Formspree (form mrpeyvno), which delivers it by email to [email protected]. Formspree processes submissions in the United States; that international transfer is protected by the Standard Contractual Clauses in Formspree's data-processing terms. See Formspree's privacy policy. If the send fails, the page offers a mail-app link addressed to [email protected] with the same brief as the message body — that fallback is the only mail-app step, and it is yours to press.

Purpose and legal basis. We use the details you send only to respond to your enquiry — pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in answering (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) where the GDPR applies). We do not use them for marketing lists and we do not sell them.

Retention. Enquiry records are deleted no later than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a project that follows keeps them as part of that project's record.

Links such as Request a quotation carry a short parameter in the address — an intent, a sector, a stage or a reference. The form reads those on load and pre-fills the matching fields so you do not retype them. They are read from the address you arrived with; they are not stored by us and are sent only as part of the brief you submit.

The studio mailbox is [email protected] (see § 06). The telephone on that sheet is for calling.

§ 04

Third-party requests: none for type

Fonts are served from this site

Every page previously loaded its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connected to Google on each view. That request no longer happens: the same three families — Archivo for body text and interface, Bodoni Moda for display headings, and Fragment Mono for finish codes, plate numbers and labels — are now served as woff2 files from /assets/fonts/ on this site, with font-display: swap.

Apart from the enquiry submit to Formspree described in § 03, nothing is requested from anywhere else. The stylesheets, the scripts, every plate image and every swatch chip are served by this site, so a page view sends no visitor address to a font host or any other third party.

If fonts fail to load

The pages still read.

Every family has a local fallback in the stylesheet, so a blocked request degrades the appearance, not the content.

§ 05

Imagery

What the pictures are, and what the source documents are not.

Every scene on this site is a manufacturer's render of a catalogue series. They are labelled as such wherever they appear:

Catalogue scenes — representative manufacturer renders, not photographed Diona installations.

They contain no identifiable people and no private interiors. They are published to show what a series looks like when specified, and nothing in them is presented as completed work by this studio.

Series names, finish codes and room taxonomies are quoted as their manufacturers print them.

§ 06

Your rights, questions, and changes to this note

The controller is Diona, No. 7, 3rd Floor, Gee Bee Building, Near Dubai Museum, P.O. Box 45095, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The studio's postal address, telephone and mailbox are published on this site — on the Advisory sheet, beside the form at Enquire, and in the footer of every sheet. The mailbox is [email protected]. Those same sheets link to the studio's Instagram profile, dionainteriors. The link is ordinary: Instagram is not embedded, and nothing is sent to Instagram until you follow it.

Your rights. Where the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, a copy in a portable form, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to [email protected] or use the enquiry form and say in the message field that it concerns privacy; we will answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the authority where you live or work, or your local EU/EEA authority if you are in the EEA.

The specification board (§ 02) uses browser local storage under the key diona.board.v1. That storage is strictly necessary for a feature you invoke yourself, so no consent banner is required for it (ePrivacy Art. 5(3)); it never leaves your device. This site sets no cookies at all, so no cookie consent is sought. This note is issued 2026·09 and describes the site as built at that date; if the site starts doing something new, this page changes first and the issue date moves with it.

Accessibility, including what is and is not yet assured, is documented separately at Accessibility · Terms.
